Stillbirth & Infant Loss Photography
In August of 2018, Lindsay’s best friend and her husband lost their son at 37 weeks. Photographing and holding baby Zion in the hospital was one of the hardest things she’s ever done- but the photos are so special to Molly & John. Although shes hope that no other family has to endure the same loss, Lindsay Chan Photography is available on call for in-hospital photography free of charge for families in need via Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. The Gold Hope Project
This amazing network of international professional photographers provides free portrait sessions to the families of childhood cancer fighters. "The Gold Hope Project’s goal is to make sure that these already over-burdened families have an everlasting documentation of the joy and whimsy of their children while simultaneously raising awareness of and funds for pediatric oncology research and treatment." Compass to Care
Compass to Care, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, ensures all families can access life-saving cancer treatment for their children. They carry out this mission by scheduling and paying for travel arrangements to the hospital where a child is being treated for cancer. Flashes of Hope
Flashes of Hope is a national non-profit organization dedicated to creating powerful, uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Alongside other professional photographers in the area, Lindsay Chan Photography sets up a pop-up studio in area hospitals providing families with free portrait sessions! K9 Enrichment Initiative
K9 Enrichment Initiative is a local Chicagoland area rescue that partners with other rescues, trainers and volunteers to bring the focus back to amazing dogs in need, looking for a second chance on life. We partner with K9EI to photograph local pups looking for their forever homes, as well as bring awareness to special causes and local events. Often times one striking photo can be the reason someone decides to stop and take a second look at a dog up for adoption. Lindsay Chan Photography is happy to be a part of such a great cause uniting dogs in need with new families!
Light Up the Night
Light Up the Night is a spectacular red carpet, dinner dance experience for people with disabilities, ages 14 and up at Compass Church in Naperville. Formerly a part of the Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine, this annual event just keeps getting better year after year!
Lindsay Chan Photography heads up the “Paparazzi Team” as a volunteer photographer and team leader for this special event where our Guests will Light Up the Night and experience the VIP treatment. All Guests will walk the red carpet, dine with their Buddy, join in karaoke, and dance, dance, dance!
EmpowerHER
empowerHER was formed in 2013 as a grassroots movement in a small town in Massachusetts in an effort to bring teenage girls who have lost their own mothers together on Mother’s Day weekend. Today, empowerHER provides an integrated series of programming year-round to young girls and young women up to age 24 and is the only organization in the country specifically working to address the struggles of girls whose mothers have died. Serving through mentorship programs and events, all programs and activities are provided at no charge to the family and are available both in-person and virtually for girls across the nation and around the globe! Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. The CF Foundation is the world's leader in the fight against CF, and their scientific portfolio reflects their drive to provide effective treatments and -- one day -- a cure to every individual with this disease.
